Bubbler System
A bubbler system is another simple, self-contained method. It consists of a grow media container, like a large net pot, inserted into a reservoir container, like a 5-gallon bucket.
A vertical tube running from the reservoir to the base of the plant serves as an "air lift". Air from an air pump creates bubbles in the bottom of the tube which cause the liquid to rise to its top and drip over the plant grow media.
Nutrient flows down over plant roots and drips back into the reservoir, where it is recycled back to the top.
